SINGAPORE - When freelance graphic designer Lee Su-fen, 29, started working from home and conducting virtual meetings in March last year owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, one of the first purchases she made was a pair of blue light filtering glasses.

This was because she had heard that blue light was harmful, and that overexposure could lead to eye strain.
