Paralympic champion Yip Pin Xiu wants to teach kids of all abilities to swim

SINGAPORE – When Yip Pin Xiu started swimming aged five, she joined a class at Kallang Basin Swimming Complex with able-bodied children and went through the same learn-to-swim programme.

She enjoyed swimming with her peers and kept up with them in the pool and, seven years later, she was talent spotted by a coach from the Singapore Disability Sports Council.
