Road safety community park plays an important role

I am heartened to know that the iconic Road Safety Community Park in East Coast Park will be modernised, and families will also be allowed to visit.

Many Singaporeans fondly remember role-playing and learning about road safety with their schoolmates in a safe environment, and it would be helpful for family members of all ages to come together to learn as well.

I also hope the authorities can consider making it compulsory for road safety violators to attend lessons at the park to refresh their safety consciousness and be responsible road users.

Why accelerate building of some BTO projects but not others?

The Housing Board had an accelerated construction schedule to hand over Tengah flats to residents following delays due to Covid-19 (Some Tengah residents upset centralised cooling system not yet installed after getting keys to units, Dec 31).

Why are some Singaporeans getting their flats earlier but not others?

In Tampines North, the GreenCrest project was supposed to have been completed by the fourth quarter of 2023, and the GreenGlade project by the third quarter. Now, it looks like owners will have to wait until the third quarter of 2024 for their flats to be ready.

Govt agencies can do more to save paper

I just received my property tax bill from the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore. It consisted of six sheets of paper, and all were printed on one side only.

As we are trying to save the earth, can government departments take the initiative and set an example? Imagine how much paper could be saved if action were to be taken nationwide.
