When Kenneth Chow, now six years old, arrived in Singapore two years ago from Indonesia, he could barely speak English, much less read or write in the language.
But today, the Primary 1 pupil is fluent in English and doing well in school here, said his mother Nurjana Kumala Sari, 36, an Indonesian cleaner.
