A lawyer who sent a letter claiming he had new evidence in a case a day before the judge was due to deliver her decision has drawn rebuke from the court.
Judicial Commissioner Mavis Chionh said the sudden and belated attempt to introduce new evidence at this stage would be severely prejudicial to the other party if the evidence were to be relied on.
