Colourful, triumphant return to the catwalk

From sunny, vibrant hues to Hitchcock heroines, Milan Fashion Week's Spring/Summer styles had it all

PRADA: The housecoat, the slim knit with the full pleated skirt (above left); SALVATORE FERRAGAMO: Pistachio (above center), buttercup, mauve, sky blue and blush-pink shades were played off against stone and sand hues; DOLCE&GABBANA: The designers presented dazzling kaleidoscopes of print and colour (above right), rendered on brocades, poplin, chiffon and georgette. FENDI: Expanding on last season's diverse casting, Silvia Venturini Fendi also brought forth a multi-generational, size-inclusive crew of models that included Ashley Graham (above left). VALENTINO: Other elements that got the remix treatment were the brand’s signature Rockstuds – now supersized – and the collection’s print of big, beautiful blooms (above right), lifted from an archival dress.
